National 5/Higher Science Qualifications

National 5 and Higher Biology, Chemistry, Human Biology and Physics are highly sought after qualifications and not having attained these can create a barrier to accessing further/higher education and career progression for young people and adults, particularly those who wish to study or work in STEM.  They are also very common entry requirements to an increasing number of college and university courses and are also an expectation many employers will have when recruiting.

Our N5 and Higher Science qualifications are offered on a private candidate self-study model and are available to anyone, whether you are an adult looking to improve your career or study prospects, a school pupil looking to gain this alongside your existing studies, or a home educated learner looking for a centre to learn with and take your assignment and exam.

Our fully qualified GTCS registered Science teachers and SQA Markers will support you through the practical assignment which is a key part of your course, forming a significant percentage of the final grade.

Our self study model includes:

• Online information sessions to prepare you for your practical assignment
• In-person practical sessions to carry out your lab work and gather your results
• In-person reporting session to complete your report
• The identification of any additional assessment needs/arrangements
• Ongoing contact to ensure success and progress
• Access to a wealth of learning resources via our secure online platform
• SQA final exam included, in-person at Strathclyde University

Candidates can choose to enhance their learning by attending our online Monthly Masterclasses or our in-person Weekly Lessons and Grade Booster Days which are held in person at our Glasgow and Edinburgh sites.
