The ScotlandIS Scholarship
Empowering young people in shaping, changing and driving Scotland's digital economy.
Are you in, or entering, the senior phase of secondary school in The West of Scotland? Are you considering, or would you consider, a career in digital technologies?
Would you like:
- fully funded educational support in National 5 or Higher Maths
- hands-on practical experiences and activities in digital technologies
- site visits and field trips to major digital sector employers in Scotland
- support and coaching from inspirational leaders in the digital sector
- fast-track entry to a range of digital courses at Glasgow Clyde College, City of Glasgow College or West College Scotland
- subsequent advanced entry into relevant university degree programmes
With the incredible generosity and support of ScotlandIS, we are providing enhanced educational support for young people in Glasgow and The West to secure their National 5 or Higher Maths qualification, with an added series of engagements with inspirational role models in the Scottish digital sector. ScotlandIS Scholars who complete the programme will automatically be offered a place on a relevant course at Glasgow Clyde College, City of Glasgow College or West College Scotland, creating the opportunity for advanced entry into relevant associated degree courses at university.
As we enter year two of this incredible programme, we are thrilled and excited to expand the offer, reaching even more people than before and encouraging more young people in Scotland to consider the digital sector for their future study and career.
With their incredible generosity and invaluable support, ScotlandIS has demonstrated just how serious and dedicated they are in their mission to drive our digital economy forward. Karen, Nicola, and their team have clearly identified the huge need for young people to enter the sector, and with their support, they will help learners navigate the entry routes to a digital career whilst connecting them to the right people and positive role models who will support and inspire them.
As Scotland’s premier tutoring school and SQA Approved Centre, we are proud to be partnered with the sector leaders who sit at the heart of our digital economy, paving the way for Scotland’s young people to access the rich opportunities and potential that a career in the digital world offers them.
